Signed on the back of the frames. Made of a medium to heavy solid metal. Stripped and repainted with 24K gold paint and oil rubbed for detail of the accents.

The base is a medium brown with the gold accents. Sealed with a satin clear. The glass compliments the frame with a beautiful clear etch yellow amber. It is a solid thick solid glass shade that fits firmly into place. There are some minor discrepancies and is in great condition for the age.

Both glass shades have some wear on the inside of the shades. Minimal flea bites and chips on the flanges and around the fitters.

Both shades have scratch marks that are pictured. When the glass was produced so long ago it was not made for high heat bulbs. In a ll three shades. The scratches are stress cracks that are stable but caused with heat. Not sure if that can be bu ffed out because it is on the surface. O ne shade has minor frost wear in the side. The sconces are hard to find in any condition. This is found on almost all the glass this old and is not threat.

Nothing in the market today will do what these beautiful fixtures do to bring out the beauty of your home. We have one more Sconce with a darker amber glass shade also listed currently by itself. They measure approximately 12 tall by 5.5 wide and 4 1/2 depth. All mounting hardware is included, all electrical has been update with UL approved products. The sockets can easily handle 100 watts, but we recommend a limit of 60 - 65 watts if incandescent bulbs are to be used.

This is to protect the slip shades from excessive heat. Greater light output can be obtained by using energy efficient LED or compact fluorescent light bulbs. These types of light bulbs operate at cooler temperatures, and do not emit as much heat as incandescent.

Many things are made now with cheap materials and they are made to only last for a little while. These old fixture are made with detail and with strong materials to last a lifetime. Lighting is a great addition to your homes décor and it is very important to the homes value and beauty. There are small mild discrepancies on some brands of fixtures from the 30s.
