This is a wonderful pair of Antique or Vintage Gessoed then. Wooden electric Wall Sconces from Italy that were brought to the USA in the late 1960's. They are ornate and simple at the same time, have'candle stick' covered sockets, are meant to be hardwired and should be checked out by an electrician or lighting store before installing. They are 6" high by 6 1/2" wide by 4 1/2 deep and weigh 10.8 ounces.
