Pair of Vintage French All Brass 2 Arm Wall Lights Sconces and Alabaster Shades

Pair of vintage French All Brass 2 Arm Wall lights sconces Alabaster Glass Shades. Found in an old antique shop. All brass, in very good condition (see photos).

Most likely French Vintage, might be antiques (don't know when they were made or where they were made, they seem old). Hangs from a loop in back of sconce and mount in the place where you want to install them. Works as intended and has been tested. 19 wide from end to end of glass shades.

Beautiful art glass alabaster (smoky veined) shades are in very good condition, no crack, chips or mars. Note: It's a very time consuming and very expensive plus takes a very good artist to produce these type of all thick brass pieces. First the piece is drawn to get the concept on paper. Next a mold is made from the sculpted piece, then molten bronze is poured into the mold. When the bronze cools the mold is cracked open and the bronze piece is hand chiseled away from the mold to get all the fragment out of the bronze.

Next the bronze is hand polished. A patina or gold leaf overlay may be applied to the finished bronze by the artist or craftsman if desired or requested. As you can see this is a long exact process that a real all bronze thick piece goes through. They are beautifully made and will make a wonderful display as well as being very functional for any area you choose to enhance & light.
