These are a set of (2) large gothic sconces that graced the huge arched entrance doors of ST. CASIMIR'S CHURCH, pittston, PA. 30.25" from cross tips to glass bottoms, cross is about 5.25" and main body of lantern is about 25top to bottom.
The unit protudes out 13 total, wall to outer edge. The sconce is about 8.5 wide. Hanger bracket is about 4.75" wide, and 25" long, and is situated so it hangs 2.5 below sconce. There are 8 original glass windows in each unit (7 sides, 1 glass bottom, each).THE GLASS IS HELD IN BY COPPER TABS, SOME ARE MISSING/BROKEN. The sconces have a hatch door on front to open for bulb replacement, original ornate screw is present for each. The lanterns hold two standard bulbs, and two wires are hanging out the back of each unit, these lamps were fully operational up to a few years ago. The outsides have been painted a gold(brass) color, but the inside shows all original copper construction (see photo #7). Photo #5 shows the glass bottoms. Photo #9 shows front hatch removed. Photo #10 shows the one sconce, still on the church, prior to removal.
