Vintage 1930s Pair of Hammered Gold Wall Light Sconces Double Candelabra Candles. Up for sale is this. Hammered Gold Wall Light Sconces with Double Candelabra Candles. These came from the Scottish Cathedral built in Moline, IL in 1930.I believe they are made of cast aluminum. They have small rotary switches in the center marked PAT 11-23-26, ROBERTS, 3A 125V, IA. Measurements : These sconces measure about 10 3/4" tall and 9" wide overall not including bulbs. They project about 4 from the wall. The backplates measure about 9 3/8" x 4 3/4". Condition : These are in good to very good condition and were working when removed and the wiring looks pretty recent so they were probably rewired. The gold paint finish is in nice condition but they would be easy to repaint to the color of your choice. The candle covers are in fair condition with flaking paint and tears but.... You can easily replace them. I have a total of 6 pairs of these exact same sconces so the photos you see are not necessarily the exact same ones but they should be as good or better than the ones shown.
