Arts & Craft Nouveau Deco. IF ANYONE HAS ANY INFORMATION ON THIS DESIGN, PLEASE LET ME KNOW SO I CAN SHARE WITH THE COMMUNITY. 3-masted galleon or carrack on the high seas, captured through what may be a classical European high seat throne or royal emblem framework. The original colors are still vivid.

Gold with wisps of red and green decorate the framing in a wonderful, aged finish. Sconces still retain their original sockets, candle covers and switches.

Smatterings of wall paint are evident along some edges. The fixture weighs 3 lbs 5 oz before packing. It is 10 1/2 inches tall, 10 wide and protrudes 3 1/2 from the wall.

A magnet does not attract so I will conclude the metal is heavy spelter. If you desire a single wall fixture with an old high-seas nautical theme and plenty of light, this sconce may serve as an excellent candidate. It can be restored with vintage shades or updated with modern replacements that provide function as well as surprise and visual interest. See examples in my listed offerings. I acquired this piece with a handsome hoard of lamps and period parts from established antiquities dealers over the years for my lighting business.

This is a substantial and handsome artifact of a bygone era that will be a pleasure to use. Thank you for viewing my listing. You may wish to see my other rare and unusual vintage collections.

I use clean, recycled materials and a heavy-duty box whenever possible. Tall and long items can bend during transport and become damaged when passed from hand to hand.
