This listing has 10 quantity and should show how many are currently available in the listing. There are 5 pairs for a total of ten. A beautiful display of the old quality fixtures made in the USA from the 1930s. They have been cleaned and restored with great care.

Art Deco sconces made by Virden 1930 stamped on the back. Virden called this series: The Berkeley Line. There were chandeliers with various support types, but only one wall sconce, and it was this one. We also have another pair with a light yellow satin glass shades in different listing for sale that have a flat finish. These are rich in colors of. An Art & Crafts style of Bronze and brass having an air of Gothic to them while still remaining Deco. The pictures are taken in natural light and flash.

There are three with a shade darker Amber in color as you may see in pictures. All are signed with the exception of one which is made of a heavier metal. Other than that they are all the same in condition.

The shades are lite amber, and in good... Condition with very little chips within the fitter areas and will not show when installed. Height: 11 overall, measured from the top of the shade to the bottom of the backplate. Projection: 4 ½ from the wall into the room.

These sconces have been completely re-wired in our UL shop with new sockets and the rotary switches are original and disabled, if you would like new brass or bakelite switches installed please ask. The sockets can easily handle 100 watts, but we recommend a limit of 60 - 65 watts if incandescent bulbs are to be used. This is to protect the slip shades from excessive heat. Greater light output can be obtained by using energy efficient LED or compact fluorescent light bulbs.

These types of light bulbs operate at cooler temperatures, and do not emit as much heat as incandescent. All mounting hardware will be supplied.
