Antique Brass Beveled Glass Mirror Ornate 3 Candle Wall Sconces Matching Pair
Offered for sale beautiful vintage/antique brass round beveled glass mirror ornate triple candle wall sconces matching pair. They are 13" tall with decorative goddess head on the top, 8.5" wide and 6 in depth(candle holder). Candle holders (all 3) are removable so you can hang it on the wall just as a mirror. One beveled glass mirror is original, other is replaced. You are able to see slight difference, original has some slight damage, aging mirror spots, other not.
Watching them on the wall as a matching pair you will not noticed difference, but looking carefully you will. Mirrors are heavy and about 1/4 in thickness.
On the back mirrors are supported with couple layers of cardboard (one of them), other is supported with beautiful hand painted flat plate/large coaster. This plate is antique and has skillfully hand painted floral design. If you wish you can use it separately as a decorative trivet. It is ceramic or porcelain plate.
Possibly long time ago someone replaced mirror with this porcelain decorative plate and later they ordered new mirror? I never try to clean them, possibly you can take off patina so they can be more brassy and shiny. Both pieces with mirrors are heavy and strong.
Style, looks like art deco? I believe they are made early 20th century.
Both sconces have hanging loop on the back. They come with candle protective hand blown shades/chimney which are bought in 1982-I have original receipt. There is 8 pieces in the box. They also have 5 additional brass holders that you can screw under candle-to collect wax and tighten glass chimney. Please see some example on my pictures. Box with glass chimney is ordered from medical laboratory company, so I strongly believe they are made of tempered glass. Chimney is 8" tall and 2" in diameter.They are in a perfect new condition, just two has been used, other is unpacked. Style, appearance, possibly French, German or Italian, not sure. Excellent elegant décor/addition to your dining/formal setting home.
