Antique VINTAGE Art Deco ART NOUVEAU Slip Shade WALL SCONCE PLATE-GOLD, FLOWERS
For sale, an antique Art Deco/Art Nouveau slip shade wall sconce plate. It is made from cast metal, circa 1930s from the Frankelite Co Fenwick Series. This is an original polychrome piece, and some of the green still shines through the dark, aged patina of the gold metal. The piece could be polished and refinished in original colors or it could be displayed as is for a great antique lighting fixture.
There are remnants of paint on a few of the edges (see photos). Its new owner could look for a replica replacement glass or create a shade that is totally unique out of an unexpected material.
The number 3672 is stamped on the back. This is for the sconce plate only. It measures 11 1/4" high x 7" wide x 1 deep.
