Pair of Beautiful Solid Brass Maitland Smith Neoclassical Wall Sconces Lion Head Door Knocker Style with Tassles. Included are 4 Lovely Lamp Shades.

Approximately 10 years old - excellent condition. Empire style with large, ringed lion head "door knocker" style tops. The rings hold a folded drapery that is "tied" with tassels at the bottom of the sconces. The sconces have double arms in twisted brass.

A medallion feature separates the arms. The bobeches are Neoclassical design and are fluted with a leaf pattern. The finish is a combination of gilded and antiqued brass. The casting is also finely done as is evidenced by the detail of the lions teeth and the folded detail of the drapery. Each sconce utilizes 2 candelabra style bulbs of up to 60 watts each.
