Exceptional pair of antique Italian tole wall sconces An unexpected butterfly, bee and dragonfly hover in the gilt wheat sheaths of each Each sconce has 3 electric candles atop their 3 arms (that take chandelier bulbs) on exceptionally elongated tapers Sconces are currently fit to plug into a U. Socket but can easily be spliced with wall wires to turn them on/off by a wall switch or dimmer The thin gold metal cord cover (that extends from the bottom of each sconce) is intended to hide the cords to the top of, say, an entry table or other centered feature where these would be on either side of a mirror, piece of art or the like This aforementioned metal cover is threaded into the bottom of each sconce and can be unscrewed for more versatility (such as if you wanted to hard wire these with wall wires) Measuring from the top of each sconce (as measured with bulb) to the bottom of the metal cord cover is an impressive 48" (approximately) Without the metal cord cover the measurement of each is 30" Each sconce is approximately 10" wide and each sconce stands from the wall by approximately 8" It should be noted that the sconces are currently hung with a heavy string (at the back of the face plate). Sconces will need to be hung with new picture wire or affixed to a bracket/mount with screws Of all the tole I have seen and/or owned, these are, by far, in a class of their own.
