Pair of Antique French wall sconces, hammered gilded copper

This pair came from our last trip to France. It is a set of wonderful hammered copper back shields, with sturdy candle holders. Each has an extra groove for a hurricane or similar shade. There are also holes in the back that will allow electrification if desired. These pieces have great detail and are nicely weathered. There is a beaded rim and a nice shell design at the top. Condition is very good, nice weathered patina, and some small spots of gilt loss.
