Pair Vintage Orrefors Crystal & Brass Wall Lights or Sconces
2 Vintage Brass and Crystal Wall Sconces Orrefors Sweden. We have not been able to identify the designer. The thick textured crystal gives a diffused light with the light beams beautifully reflected off the design within the crystal. The central band has a golden coating to the inside.
The backing for the lights is brass and the crystal fronts are attached with decorative domed brass screw-in buttons. The top and base are open to allow air to circulate. To replace the light globes the buttons are unscrewed to remove the crystal allowing clear access to the fitting.
The pieces are in excellent vintage condition with some tarnish to the brass with light scuff marks to the rear. The screw in buttons are also in good condition with only light marks. The crystal has no chips or cracks and the set are a matched pair. Although they are displayed in our shop on hooks they would normally be attached to a wall and hard wired.
There are 4 screw holes to the backing plates to make this possible. However they could be attached, as we have done, with the cord exiting from the base and plugged into a power point. Each sconce is 220mm long x 118mm wide. These are heavy crystal fittings and will be packed with care. The pieces will come with a length of cord (no plug) , cut ready for installation by an electrician. We do not mark merchandise values below value or mark items as "gifts" - US and International government regulations prohibit such behaviour. For International sales please note the power cord will be cut off short requiring the lamp to be rewired in your country due to safety regulations.
