BEAUTIFUL, SOLID BRASS WALL SCONCES! Manufactured by Maitland Smith, the pair are approximately 8 years old but were never installed so they are, in essence, a new pair. Empire style with large, ringed lion "door knocker" style tops.

The rings hold a folded drapery that is "tied" with tassels at the bottom of the sconces. The sconces have double arms in twisted brass. A medallion feature separates the arms. The bobeches are Neoclassical design and are fluted with a leaf pattern. They are in like new condition.

The finish is a combination of gilded and antiqued brass. The casting is also finely done as is evidenced by the detail of the lions' teeth and the folded detail of the drapery. Each sconce utilizes 2, candelabra style bulbs of up to 60 watts each.

The sconces are 27" tall, 13" wide at the arms, and they extend 7 from the wall.
