RESTORED Antique Victorian Ornate Brass Wall Sconce Lamp Gas, Converted Electric

A Beautiful Fully RESTORED Antique Victorian Brass. Converted to Electric - Ornate Wall Sconce with Glass Shade. This brass hanging wall sconce is just. It has been taken apart, machine polished and restored to its current beautiful state.

Someone had added a socket to it years ago to convert this once gas lamp to a fully operational electrical wall sconce. The frosted / painted beige glass shade matches perfectly with the style of the lamp, however it can easily be replaced if you have something you like better. ALL parts, including the chain and even the electrical socket are SOLID BRASS.

It has the 3 hole mounting bracket on the back so it's ready to be installed. Showing the authenticity of its previous life as a gas lamp: there's a ring on the top, above the chain, that would have turned the gas on and off (still turns). There's a brass flame on the top of the lamp with a screw on top of it, which would have had something to do with the gas (see photo close-ups of both of these areas).

Currently it works by wiring it into a wall switch, but that could be easily changed into having the socket be a pull chain if so desired. 8 1/2 from the wall to the end of the brass ring. 13 from the top to the bottom of the glass shade. You're going to LOVE it!
